Book clubs

We believe reading is best enjoyed when shared. That’s why we are proud to support two thriving local book clubs, as well as offer opportunities for new groups to get started.

Telford Book Club

Founded by Kay Evans in 2023, Telford Book Club has quickly grown into a warm, welcoming community for readers of all kinds. With the support of Carrieann Clayton and Kerryanne Miles, the club offers much more than just lively discussions about books. Members enjoy author visits, reading retreats, social gatherings and a strong connection with small local businesses.

Telford Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm. If you would like to find out more or join the conversation, you can connect with them here:

Email: telfordbookclub@gmail.com

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1457519048174097/

Telford Book Club leaders are happy to meet new starters outside, and sit with them to help ease the anxiety of joining a book club for the first time!

Madeley Book Club

Meeting on the first Thursday of every month at 1pm, the Madeley Book Club is a friendly and engaging group of readers. Due to its popularity, this club is currently at full capacity.

Start Your Own Book Club

Why not start your own book club? Madeley Library supports groups of up to 8 members by providing a set of books each month, delivered straight to the library free of charge. It’s a wonderful way to share your love of reading and spark new conversations.

*During Self Service no library staff are available however you can still sit in the library, browse & take out books and use the self service machine & WIFI / computers with your library card & Pin Number.
