Traffic Safety Scheme – Sutton Way
We will shortly be carrying out the installation of a new zebra crossing. We will also be introducing two priority build-outs and a central reservation along the length of Sutton way as well as introducing parking restrictions at some locations. This work will be carried out in three phases. Phase 1 (Priority Build-outs) is planned for Monday 20th April to Friday 1st May using two way traffic signals, Phase 2 (Central Reservation) is planned for Wednesday 6th May to Tuesday 12th May under a Road Closure 24hrs a day, a diversion will be in place. Phase 3 (Zebra Crossing) is planned for Wednesday 13th May until Tuesday 2nd June under a Road Closure 24hrs a day, a diversion will be in place. Where the works in the centre of the road can be completed earlier it will be and the works maybe completed under 2 way traffic signals.
The works will be delivered for Telford and Wrekin Council by Balfour Beatty as the Principal Contractor, who will be using their specialist sub-contractor GN Groundworks to deliver the works.
